Russian girls have been urged to strip to support Vladimir Putin (Pic: YouTube)
Entitled Putin's Army, a video for the new promotion shows a blonde Russian student named Diana walking along the streets of Moscow, before using red lipstick to write 'I will tear my clothes off for Putin' on a white top.
Diana then proceeds to shed her clothes and other young Russians are urged to do the same for the chance to win an Apple iPad 2.
She urges the country's women: 'Please upload a video where you tear something or someone apart for your president.'
A statement on the Putin's Army page on social networking site VKontakte, which is Russia's answer to Facebook, declares 'The goal: For Putin to be president!'.
No-one is quite sure who started the campaign, but it rose to prominence after featuring on the blog of parliamentarian Kirill Shchitov, a member of Putin's ruling United Russia party.
Putin was president of Russia between 2000 and 2008, before becoming prime minister and nominally passing power to Dmitry Medvedev.
However, many still believe that Putin remains the key decision-maker in the ruling party and will return to the presidency in the March 2012 vote.
